The 2016 re-launch of the iconic franchise managed to do the unthinkable and exceeded expectation across the board. Well, except the multiplayer component which was developed by a team separated from the solo campaign\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>Online shortcomings aside though, the meat and potatoes of a DOOM game \u2014 solo play \u2014 gained unanimous praise. Next to super solid, fast-paced gameplay it was also a technically stunning game. And there\u2019s more in store.<\/p>\n<p>id Software parent Bethesda has confirmed that development on the next game is now in full swing and that we\u2019ll be getting a first glimpse of the shooter sometime in 2018.
